What is the NHS App?
The NHS App allows patients to access a range of NHS services from a phone, tablet or computer. You can use it to request repeat prescriptions, view prescription information and choose where your prescriptions are sent.
By nominating Pharmacy@Roxton or Pharmacy@Freeman Street, your approved prescriptions can be sent to us electronically, making the process easier and more convenient.

How to Use the NHS App for Prescriptions
Follow these simple steps to request your repeat medication and send your prescriptions to your chosen pharmacy.
Download and Log In
Download the NHS App from the App Store or Google Play. You can also access it online through the NHS website. Log in or create your NHS login using your personal details.
Request Your Medication
Go to the prescriptions section of the app, choose the repeat medicines you need and send your request to your GP surgery for approval.
Nominate Our Pharmacy
Choose Pharmacy@Roxton or Pharmacy@Freeman Street as your nominated pharmacy. Once approved, your prescription can be sent to us electronically.

Can I order all medicines through the NHS App?
You can usually request eligible repeat prescriptions through the NHS App. Some medicines or one-off prescriptions may still require you to contact your GP surgery.
Do I still need GP approval?
Yes. Prescription requests made through the NHS App are reviewed by your GP surgery before they are issued to your nominated pharmacy.
